lets celebrate our freedom to drink, and our freedom to draw! so we can go quietly into that night! and we will not vanish into the night. and do other stuff into the night.

we still havent confirmed on a location for this meeting. the last meeting it got pretty hot, so it wasnt very comfortable. so i will and if anyone has suggestions. go to an indoor location. stay tuned for further instructions.

thanks for showing up youse guys! we had a good turn out. and it was loud and crazy, and there was some dragon weenies being drawn, sinks breaking, psycho analysis of jon arbuckle from garfield, and drunk girl. so all in all a success!

thats a long name, some kind of school district. but yeah. these guys. are holding a picnic. be a cool place to meet other artist get some exposure and eat food. but its bring your own food, so pack your lunches and have some fun.

First Meeting.

yanni thought it was good. we had some people show up,.
we had kristian a comic book artist, illustrator. james the comic book store guy, and john 3d graphic arts guy, charlton the graphic dude, daniel the architect 3D man, aaron the game modeler, randall the art director and me, jose, the loser.

it was a chilled thing, we had some beers, some food, and shared some laughs, very easy going time.

i also found out why alot of you guys didnt show up. it was wednesday, and lost was on. ok. so tivo that shit all ready, and show up to the next one.

we decided, as a collective entity, that we will hold these bi-monthily or semi monthly, in other words, every 2 weeks. every other wednesday. same place same time.

unless we get some larger movement from another area of the metroplex.
so if you guys from the north come in numbers and have a suggestion of a place to meet up, we can tour the thing around the metroplex. like one week its here and another there, and so on.

for those of you who came, i will hold you in a very special spot in my heart.

No Good Belmont, hello Bolsa, maybe?

so belmont hotel, all ready has a ton of stuff going on there, that day. so no good on the belmont, but we are awaiting. for a response on bolsa, a pretty sweet place i might add. if that falls through our safe net is lee harveys, there i dont feel that i have to check if its cool. cause its all outside and there is a ton of seating there.
but BOLSA has wicked lighting in there patio where as lee harveys dont. so we;ll see. i hope to have this figured out by next week wednesday!

The Begining

me (che-che) and my friends (whoever is interested) are starting a drink and draw social club for the DFW area. there are chapters in los angeles, new york, atlanta, toronto, and others i would like to get one started to represent texas talent. professional artist to get together to drink some booze and draw, have a good time is the goal here.
